Brian Kiptoo Kiplangat, who is facing charges alongside former Lands Commissioner Sammy Mwaita, appeared at the Milimani Law Courts under the supervision of Chief Magistrate Lukas Onyina.
During this session, the prosecution requested that Kiplangat be held in custody until the legal proceedings against him are fully resolved.
This request came after Kiplangat failed to appear in court for a separate case involving the forgery of title documents, a charge he has been facing since 2016.
The prosecution’s concerns about his absence highlight the seriousness of the allegations and the need for his presence in court to ensure a fair trial.
