A heartfelt appeal has been launched by family and friends of Linda, a Kenyan woman currently stranded in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) after a series of devastating challenges left her vulnerable and unable to return home.
Linda’s Struggles Abroad
Linda had traveled to the UAE with hopes of securing employment and supporting her family back in Kenya. Unfortunately, her journey has taken a heartbreaking turn. She lost her job, fell into depression, and misplaced her passport. On top of that, she later became ill and, in her struggle, was exposed to harmful substances that worsened her condition.
Today, Linda is in desperate need of help. Her situation has reached a point where the only safe way for her to return to Kenya is if she is accompanied by a family member or close friend. The Kenyan embassy has confirmed that it cannot repatriate her alone due to her health and current state.
The Fundraising Appeal
To ensure her safe return, Linda’s family and friends are appealing to well-wishers to help raise Kshs. 500,000. This amount will cover:
